Dr. D. SELVARAJ, M.Com., Ph.D.,
Dr. D. Selvaraj, born of Christian parents at Fathimapuram village in Perambalur District, started his career at the age of 17 as a lay-man at his uncle's higher educational institutions, where he had been elevated to various positions in his 30 years of employment as to become Senate Member of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Despite learning disabilities and other challenges in his life, he had his post graduate studies in Commerce & Sociology and proceeded to Ph.D. He has also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication & Journalism.
His experience in the field of administration as well as academic and also growing need of leadership practice immersed in real world challenges, as 'Educating leaders who make a difference in the world', emerged him to establish Holy Angels School of Business, A Standalone MBA School in Perambalur District, where an exceptional academic experience are being imparted.
Dr. D. Selvaraj, the Founder and Chairman & Managing Trustee of Holy Angels Trust, Perambalur, has been elected as Senate Member for Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli second time besides an Educational Coordinator for District Human Rights Commission, Perambalur District.
Dr. D. Selvaraj has committed himself to the pursuit of social welfare, social change and social justice. He is practicing to improve the quality of life and to the development of the potential of each individual, group and community of a society. He has often focused on areas such as human development, social policy, public administration, program evaluation and international and community development. The main task of his social service includes a variety of services such as Case Management.
Rev. Fr. JOHN KUMAR, S.J.,
Rev.Fr. John Kumar, born of a Post-graduate Teacher at Bishop Heber Hr. Sec. School in Tiruchirappalli, graduated in English Literature before joining in Jesuit Novitiate where he did his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Sociology, and become an ordained catholic priest in the Society of Jesus of the Province of Madurai, Tamilnadu, S.India.
As one of the Trustees of Holy Angels Trust, he is presently being a Research Assistant & Coordinator of Micro level Study Projects, Jesuit Religious venture with NGOs Social Watch-Tamil Nadu, Chennai, S.India, since 2001 January. He had been positioned in the helm of affairs of Social Work Projects of the Society of Jesus and also in Loyola College, Madras.
He has widely traveled for abroad, where he undertook a study in the University of Manitoba, Canada, and assisted as Parish Asst. at Holy Rosary, Osborne Village, in the Arch-Diocese of Winnipeg from Aug. 1999 to Dec. 2000. He had participated in Inter-national Workshop on RURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT, Manila, Philippines in April 1995. He has conducted many series of workshops and given talks, lectures and presented papers to various academic and non-academic groups (social work organizations). He has involved in a part-time research process of reconstructing the history of the depressed masses in East Ramnad and also undertook a Minor Research work during Budget Analysis for the Centre
Rev. Fr. John Kumar has been positioned as Chair person of the AREDS; Member of PLAY BACK THEATRE company of India, Chennai; Member in Tamilnadu STREET THEATRE forum called PUVIARANGU; Member of (TNPFSD)Tamilnadu People's Forum for Social Development, Chennai; Member of Social action commission of Madurai Jesuit Province, Madurai; Member and District level resource person of PEOPLE'S WATCH - TAMILNADU; and Member of the Working Committee of Tamilnadu Planning Commission in the ministry and department of SC,ST, MBC, OBC and Minorities of Tamilnadu Government.
Rev. Sr. RITA ROSELINE
Rev. Sr. Rita Roseline is a Catholic Nun, who has taken solemn vows committing her to live a spiritual life, at Holy Cross Convent, Tiruchirappalli. Born of a Post-graduate Teacher at Bishop Heber Hr. Sec. School in Tiruchirappalli, She had completed her graduation in Tamil Literature (B.A.,) at the time of Novice and completed her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,) and also Post-graduation in Tamil (M.A.,), after becoming a Nun at Holy Cross Convent, Tiruchirappalli.
Started her career as a graduate teacher, besides her religious responsibilities, she was posted to many schools run by her Holy Cross Convent in various places like, Kumbakonam, Oliyamangalam, Viralimalai, Tiruchirappalli, etc. After her post graduation, she was elevated to the helm of affair of the schools like, Headmistress, Correspondent, etc., in various places. After retiring from the School, she presently lives an active vocation of prayer and service, often to the needy, sick, poor, and uneducated
Mrs. SHANTHI SELVARAJ
Mrs. K. Shanti, wife of Dr. D. Selvaraj, one of the Trustees of Holy Angels Trust, Perambalur, has hailed from a well educated family in Tiruchirappalli. Born with number of brothers and sisters, who are all working in Government and also in well reputed Private Organizations in India & Abroad, she has got her Post-graduation in Physics and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,). She had also worked as a Teacher in various Schools at Tiruchirappalli and Perambalur.
